Preventing heartworms

Don't just treat. Prevent.

Treatment for heartworm disease can be a long, expensive process and can be stressful for you and your dog.1

The Companion Animal Parasite Council recommends year-round flea treatment throughout your dog's life to protect against flea infestations on your dog and in your home.2

Both SENTINEL® SPECTRUM® (milbemycin oxime/lufenuron/praziquantel)
and SENTINEL® (milbemycin oxime/lufenuron) FLAVOR TABS® are smart and easy ways to prevent heartworms.

  • Just give it to your dog every 30 days for
    year-round heartworm protection.
  • Always have your dog tested for heartworms by your veterinarian before starting a preventive regimen. Giving a preventive to a dog that is already heartworm-positive can cause further complications.
