Heartworm infection

One bite from a mosquito is all it takes.

Mosquitoes aren’t just annoying, they can infect your dog with deadly heartworms.

  • An infected mosquito bites a dog and
    transmits young heartworms (larvae).
  • Young heartworms develop into adults
in the dog’s arteries, heart, and lungs.
  • Left untreated, heartworms can cause
    heart failure.1
